Municiple goverment stuff

The municipal government is responsible for all of things in the pictures.

In the first picture it has a green label on the car and that is so you can leave your car over night.

In the next picture people are doing fixing a hole in the side walk.

Post Canada service for mail

This of a post Canada mail box. This is a federal matter to send mail to wherever requested. There are fewer now because people are using email and Facebook these days.

Fire station

The firefighters are an example of municipal level service and we know this because it says Toronto and it has a picture of the city hall.

License plates are a provincial service. As you can see in both pictures, there are license plates from two provinces. This proves that the provincial government issued those license plates because the license plates where from different provinces and not cities or Canada.

TTC is municipal because it is only inside our city since TTC stands for Toronto Transit Commission. Why would the premier or the prime minister control something that only existed in Toronto?

The TTC is an example of municipal service, we know this because TTC stands for Toronto Transit Committee.
Also it is paid for by the city of Toronto and the citizens who ride it. lastly, our mayor Rob Ford wants to get rid of street cars and replace them with subways.:(

Sewage plant

The sewage system is monitored by municipal government. We know this because on the sewers it says Toronto hydro.

Disabled Parking Permit

Permits are done by the Provence of Ontario which makes it provincial because we control our own health laws and permits.

Government services in Toronto!

The sidewalk is a municipal service. This makes sense because if the federal government came in to fix and build sidewalks, it would take away from their valuable time that they could use to pass bills or decide if they will help with the Arab spring! Also, the municipal government is closer, therefor, making it more efficient to just have to city deal with it. Another reason why it makes sense is that it is a problem in the city, so, the city should deal with it!

Canada Post is federal because the mail is sent all around the world.

The license plates on cars in Ontario are funded by the provincial government. We know this because on license plates it says "Ontario", and has the logo of Ontario.

These garbage bags are put on the road for the city garbage truck to pick it up. This is a municipal service because the city of Toronto pays for the garbage truck to pick the bags up and dispose of them.

The green bin is a municipal service, we know this because it has the city hall printed on it, also I says Toronto. On it,it also has a yellow sticker that says city of Toronto.

Stop sign

A stop sign is controlled by the municipal level of government because only the person who governs Toronto should control our traffic. If Stephen Harper in Ottawa controlled our traffic signs then they wouldn't know what to do for our traffic signs in particular because he doesn't live here.

Stop signs are paid for by the Provence because they take care of all the roads. Stop signs are provincial work.

Garbage collection is handled by the city of Toronto. This is the municipal level of government. One way we can tell is that the city logo is printed on all of the garbage cans.
